Internet Dating or part time work?

So in light of a recent break-up and busy work schedule, I took the advice of some friends to check out an online dating site to dip my feet in the water. After answering about 100 questions, uploading a few photos and coming up with a cheezy “eye catching ” headline,  the emails, winks , matches, flirts started coming in. Within the first week I received more pick up lines that I could easily hear at any bar, messages literally just asking to have sex and/or looking to just have a sexual relationship (true story) and emails of let’s just say, NOT A MATCH.  After I check my emails, I start sifting through to see if I could find anyone that could be a match or raise my interest in some advanced searches and keeping an open mind, reading profiles and messaging some fellas that peak my interest.

In the bunch of daily emails, there is sometimes one or two potential guys I respond  back to ( and a few that respond back to my message) It still doesn’t seem natural resulting in me taking about 30 minutes to respond back to a message. Of the few charmers  I started communicating with , numbers were exchanged to upgrade from communication through the site to cell phone, yay! Result: Texting dialogue leading to communication failure or eventually him asking for naked or “sexy” pictures. Today I had one  of these “winners” decide to just send me his “birthday suit” selfie pic full frontal and attempted a sexting dialogue, which I declined (total hottie but who even knows if it was really him!) . So, leaving me now, with no prospects, just where I started in this online dating journey. Oh and not one phone call or date. Guys, If I give you my number, be a man! CALL ME..I have enough friends to text with.

So after getting over the sad realization that internet dating is probably not where I am going to meet my mate, I actually found it really time consuming and warranted some effort, like a part-time job, although the only pay I received was a random hot guy’s bod shot and some sex offers from strangers. Gotta love dating these days!
